Happy Birthday to the Belle Meade Plantation! 200 Years!
They celebrated with carriage rides, Confederate calvary demonstrations, croquet, free ice cream and discounted tour prices.
Known as the "Queen of the Tennessee Plantations", this home still has bullet holes in her columns. It's a gorgeous Greek Revival house, which is furnished in the antebellum style.
It was once one of the nations finest thoroughbred breeding farms. It's also the site of the famous Iroquois Steeplechase.....one of Nashville's major society events that runs every May in Percy Warner Park.
