Verizon Wireless plans to build a $54 million, 180,000 square feet statewide headquarters in the Cool Springs area of Franklin.
The site will involve about 1,300 jobs, but approximately 550 of those are expected to come from existing locations in the state.
Verizon has invested more than $500 million in Tennessee since 2003.
Actually, this Verizon project is the 30th corporate headquarters to locate in the state since 2003.
