Franklin's Carothers Highway extension project opens June 5

Phase 1 of the Carothers Parkway Extension will open June 5. It includes the area between Hwy 96 E and Liberty Pike.

It will be a beautiful new four-lane highway with a landscaped median and crosswalks with pedestrian crossing signals.

A nearby walking trail running parallel to Carothers Parkway will go around the lake on Quail Hollow Circle and connect to Liberty Pike.

This project will help relieve some traffic concerns in the area by giving residents an alternate way to travel.
