Historic Ryman Auditorium - Located near 5th and Broadway - At one time it was home to the Grand Ole Opry. The Ryman has attracted world class entertainment to its stage for well over 100 years. In fact, the Opry still broadcasts from the Ryman occasionally.

The Music City Marathon and 1/2 Marathon attracts runners from all over the world.

World Famous Tootsie's Orchid Lounge. Located right behind the Ryman Auditorium and has been visited by many country music stars between shows. Movies and TV shows have been made here - Magazine articles have been written about Tootsie's.

Adventure Science Center - What a fun place for the whole family. A favorite of my grandchildren! Interactive and educational exhibits all year long. Be sure to visit the Planetarium.

Where you'll find songwriters and stars. Many country music entertainers have began their careers right here. It's a small place, so make your reservations.

The Nashville Zoo at Grassmere. It's steep in places, so be prepared to climb the hills. They offer a fun "critter encounter" for the children as well as a historic farm.

On Historic 2nd Avenue - the Wildhorse Saloon is a great fun place to visit. When it opened, Reba McEntire hearded a stampede of cattle through the streets of Nashville to mark the opening.

I have to show you these horses - -they are all over the place. You can learn to line-dance and see great entertainment. The food isn't so bad either.

One of my favorites - The General Jackson Showboat -
The show is great - and the food is delicious. The 300' ft. long showboat cruises down the Cumberland River to Nashville's Riverfront Park.

Don't miss this - it's really a fun evening. They have daytime cruises - but the evening dinner cruise is my favorite.

Ft. Nashboro - A replica of the original settlement at Nashville. There are 5 log cabins right on the Cumberland River. They were built in 1779 to protect the early settlers.

What a great blend of the old and new - When you look through the gates of Ft. Nashboro - you can see the Tennessee Titans stadium just across the river.

Bi-Centennial Capitol Mall State Park. Learn the history of Tennessee - have a picnic - or just take a walk. A lovely view of the Capitol.

The Farmer's Market - right next door to the Capitol Mall State Park. Fresh produce of all kinds and International restaurants.

You'll want to try to catch a NHL Predators game.

Riverfront Park - Lots of fun and activities. From concerts to July 4th fireworks....there's always something going on. Located just across the street from Broadway/2nd Avenue....and next to Ft. Nashborough.

The Opryland Hotel - It's a destination all by itself. Have dinner in one of the restaurants....take a boat ride through the hotel...or just enjoy the scenery.
