We always ask for a home warranty as part of our service to you. It’s good protection to have, but it’s an insurance policy. Some things are covered and some are not.
Most of the major systems of the home are covered with a deductible of approximately $50-$75.
I’ve seen the home warranties pay for new heat & air units shortly after a home is purchased…..and I’ve seen very small claims be denied. Always remember that if you have a problem, you MUST call the toll free number on your policy and have their serviceman check it out. If they determine that you (or anyone) has tampered with or tried to fix the problem, they will usually deny the coverage. Some appliances are covered with the home warranty insurance.
