One of Nashville’s grandest celebrations of the year! And what a celebration it is!! It’s actually the largest country music event in the nation with over 40,000 people in attendance each year.
Country Music fans from around the world converge on Nashville during the month of June for a non-stop week of concerts, parties, meet-the-stars events and just plain country fun.
The event moved from the State Fairgrounds several years ago…to the downtown location. Events are held in the Titans Stadium (LP Field), Riverfront Park, Convention Center, Nashville Arena…and the general downtown area…so most everything is within walking distance.
You can purchase single day passes or a four-day pass to attend all the events. In addition to non-stop concerts, you’ll enjoy an array of sporting events with local sports celebrities in attendance. You might even meet some NASCAR drivers. The Family Fun Zone is a hit for smaller children.
Let’s don’t forget the many charity events. To name a few, the City of Hope Celebrity Softball Challenge, YMCA Celebrity Auction, Stars for Hope Benefit and the Opry Trust Fund Benefit.
But my favorite…a Habitat for Humanity home is actually framed up for construction during the week. What a great way for the stars to show their appreciation to all the country music fans. The home will be dedicated with 14 other homes during a ceremony in mid October leading up to the 41st Annual CMA Awards. which will be held in November.
With a partnership with the Nashville Alliance for Public Education, “Keep the Music Playing”, the CMA will donate half the net proceeds from the event to fund music education in Metro Nashville’s public schools.
